On January 27, 2022, we launched our Language Access with a "Talk Story" session with the Joint Filipino Legislative Caucus. It was a great success, with over 100 participants in the virtual session. We invited panelists from state departments and community organizations to talk about the importance of language access, as well as individuals from immigrant communities to share their stories about experiencing language barriers.
Our language access bills have been progressing well in the State Legislature, with almost every single bill of ours passing its first Committee Hearing. You can check out our legislative asks in the graphic below.
